Son Who Didn’t Visit His Mother for Years Comes and Sees Her House Destroyed

Adam hadn’t visited his mother, Diana, for years. One day, he needed documents from her home and found it destroyed and abandoned.

Diana Evans raised Adam alone, working hard to feed him and pay for his education. After high school, he moved to New York for university. They kept in touch initially, but calls dwindled over time.

When Adam was about to graduate, he called Diana. “I’m graduating in two weeks. Will you come?” Despite financial struggles, Diana saved up by babysitting and bought a ticket and a watch for Adam.

Diana attended the graduation, feeling proud. At dinner, Adam assured her not to worry about the bill. Moved, Diana gave him the watch, and Adam promised to wear it every day.

After graduation, Adam’s calls diminished and eventually stopped. Years later, he needed documents from California for his firm. Arriving without informing Diana, he found their house destroyed. Mr. Green, the neighbor, explained that Diana moved to a nursing home after a storm damaged the house.

Adam found his frail mother in a wheelchair. “Mom, I’m so sorry for not paying more attention to you,” he said, sobbing. Diana tried to comfort him. Adam promised never to leave her alone again.

He repaired their old home, moved Diana out of the nursing home, and relocated his business to California. They lived together happily, with Adam and his girlfriend taking care of Diana.
